Healthcare Assistants (CNAs)

Our Healthcare Assistants (CNAs) work closely with nurses to provide exceptional care in inpatient units. They are essential to our Acute Care Med/Surg units, ICUs, Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and other facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with feeding, ambulating (walking and moving about), grooming, toileting, dressing, and unit-specific technical skills.
  • Patient Education: Support patient education as delegated by professional care providers.
  • Data Management: Collect, report, and document data related to patient care activities.
  • Indirect Patient Care: Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe care environment; provide companion care; transport patients; and chaperone physicians.
  • Unit-Specific Duties: Perform clerical tasks such as stocking supplies, processing orders during downtime, and entering downtime occurrence orders.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication among staff, physicians, patients, families, and visitors.
  • Electronic Requests: Process electronic requests for treatments and tests, retrieve lab results, and schedule appointments.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain patient records and activity boards, and manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Most of our CNAs work 12-hour shifts, with shift differentials available—offering higher pay for night and weekend work. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch a career in healthcare, gain hands-on experience, and grow professionally in a supportive environment.

Medical Assistants (MAs)

Medical Assistants (MAs) are often the first to care for patients in our outpatient clinics. They ensure a smooth, supportive experience across our hospitals and healthcare centers.
