Job Summary

This is a 0.10FTEClinical Associate position that is an adjunct instructor position within the PA division of the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine. The clinical associate (CA) will a work with a small group (4) of students and reports to the Clinical Associate director and Associate Program directors.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

•Facilitating and instructing the group in mastery of the Integrated physical exam, focused exams inHEENT/Neuro, Cardiopulmonary, GI, and Musculoskeletal systems

•Evaluating students with standardized patient encounters at the completion of each physical exam module

•Instruction in appropriate medical record production, specificallySOAPnote production in conjunction with these OSCEs.

•Facilitating the development of clinical problem solving through the exploration of 16 clinical cases and 1 ethics case

•Instruction and development inSOAPnote production and case presentations orally during the entirety of Spring semester.

•Participation in Clinical Practicum as preceptors, giving oral and written feedback on bothOSCEperformance andSOAPnote production

•Participation in faculty development and preseason meetings twice a year

•Grading of students both Fall and Spring semester

•Evaluation of the Evidence Based Medicine write-ups (2-3 from each student a year)
