Job Summary

University of Utah Sandy Center is looking for a savvy, outgoing person to fill the Project Coordinator Position who, under supervision from the Sandy Center Campus Manager, coordinates classes, proctors exams, and other activities required to operate the Sandy Center Campus. Applicants with technical knowledge to troubleshoot AV, Zoom, Computer, and software issues are preferred.

  • This is a three-quarter time, benefited position, working in person.
  • Working hours are: Mondays – Thursdays from 3:30 to 10:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
  • This position will report to the University of Utah Sandy Center at 10011 Centennial Parkway, Suite 100, Sandy UT 84070.
  • Due to proctoring of exams, Project Coordinators may not be enrolled in University of Utah classes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procedural matters regarding evening class operations.
  • Act as Proctor Coordinator in the setup, administration, and tracking of exams for the Testing Center.
  • Responsible for computer, AV, Zoom, and software support/troubleshooting for instructors, students, and staff.
  • Assist in creation of Social Media posts.
  • Research and purchase supplies within prescribed budget parameters.
  • Coordinate rentals, seminars, workshops, and other meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes and action items during meetings and perform basic follow-up.
  • Maintains an inventory of all computers, monitors, AV, checkout items, and furniture.
  • Provides information to students, faculty, staff regarding new policies and procedures of the Sandy Center.
  • Responsible for straightening up classrooms, securing the building, and activating the alarm system each evening.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six years related experience or equivalency (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience).
  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Preferences

  • AV/Zoom monitoring and troubleshooting experience
  • Computer skills including troubleshooting software/wifi issues, and knowledge of word processing, presentation, creative, and spreadsheet software experience
  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills
