Job Summary

We are launching a new online course for scientists looking to learn about cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). This course, called Cryo-EM 101, will be made freely available online, and will consist of video, 3D animation and interactive simulations that will cover all aspects of visualizing biological structures using cryo-EM.

As our website developer, you will create and maintain our media-rich website. We plan to launch the website in the summer of 2018, and continue adding modules throughout the 2018/2019 school year.

Responsibilities

The Cryo-EM 101 Web Developer will:

-Design and develop a user-friendly and attractive multipage website that will host text, videos and interactive media.

-Maintain the website, including posting new modules as they become available, and troubleshooting any errors.

-Neatly manage and organize digital files associated with the project.

Minimum Qualifications

-Experience creating websites using HTML5,CSSand content management systems (such as WordPress)

-An understanding of how to embed media (including videos and interactive modules) into a website

Preferences

An interest in the sciences, and particularly in biology, is a plus!
