Receives shipments and distributes parts and materials to University Staff and personnel with accuracy and efficiency. Maintains warehouse organizational standards and upholds all accountability best practices.

This is a Category I position: Mandatory Required on Campus or at Health Care Facilities.
Main Campus staff: Employees and/or functions designated as mandatory, requiring employees to be physically located on campus in order to maintain campus systems and operations if they are healthy without symptoms.
U of U Health Academics Faculty and Staff: All employees necessary for the direct on-site support of clinical operations, patient care, and essential research activities if they are healthy without COVID -19 symptoms.
Assists in receiving, delivery and distribution/shipping functions for the UIT department.
Plans the range and quality of materials to be stocked based on consultation with departments.
Evaluates supply needs, turnover rates, and storage limitations.
Monitors items, which are not moving, and determines redistribution actions.
Assists the receiving and inspecting of orders and resolves order problems with vendors and departments.
Verifies stock meets specifications and orders are complete.
Documents storeroom operations for billing and inventory control.
Assists the distribution and delivery of supplies/materials to customers, including large items.
Must be a current University of Utah Student.
Four years shipping and receiving/stockroom experience, or equivalency; the ability to routinely move or manipulate heavy objects; a knowledge of standard warehousing procedures; demonstrated human relations skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. A valid Utah Driver’s license with proof of insurability may be required for positions that require delivery responsibilities.
Ability to lift/carry 40 lbs.
