Job Summary

The Student Intern Salesforce position will be responsible for helping to maintain the Salesforce ecosystem for the David Eccles School of Business. Tasks range from creating and maintaining user accounts in Salesforce and Pardot, monitoring daily system imports, assisting with data integrity and data analysis

There is also an opportunity to work on creative/programming tasks to improve upon delivering the above functions, for example, automation around auditing.

There is an expectation that the candidate will work towards becoming a certified Salesforce Administrator.

Responsibilities

· Will create new Salesforce and Pardot user accounts and provision permissions as necessary to existing user accounts

· Monitor daily system imports and communicate any significant changes

· Perform tasks involved with data management including data creation, database updates, import data from users using existing processes, including mapping fields correctly from user provided data to Salesforce and/or Pardot fields.

· Maintain data integrity by merging duplicate records

· Assist with system analysis tasks including the identification and remediation of technical debt (i.e., system objects that are no longer in use)

· Assist with user reporting needs

· Create and maintain user documentation by documenting new processes

· Make basic modifications to Qualtrics applications integrated with Salesforce

· Become familiar with the systems, processes and tools used by the Salesforce team, such as Salesforce, Pardot, Qualtrics, Demand Tools, etc.

· Special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student

· A student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or comparable with at least 2 years left in school

· Interest in earning a Salesforce Administrator Certification ( https://trailhead.salesforce.com/credentials/administrator )

Able to work both independently and with the Salesforce team

Demonstrate effective communication skills

Strong attention to detail
