Job Summary

Works under the supervision of the Research Director of Department of Pediatric General Surgery. Facilitates coordination of technical and administrative details involved in a clinical or research study by providing support to other research team members. Assists the Principal Investigator/s in achieving study integrity and objectives through the successful implementation and completion of departmental protocols and procedures.


1.Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of survey participants

2.Explains and obtains informed consent, medical history and demographics; documents in source file and maintains with historical data, status reports, progress notes, and subject log to help ensure subject safety.

3.Collects and compiles data from a variety of sources; may enter data into a PC or computer terminal.

4.May work with research personnel in the design and preparation of research projects and in recording data.

5.May perform quality control through path audits in order to resolve discrepancies and overlaps with data.

6.May schedule appointments, visits and meetings.

7.Maintains up to date files and records of research data.

8.Assists other research employees with additional tasks as relevant and applicable.
