Job Summary

Responsibilities: Supervise Laser Cutter, help students with projects involving the laser cutter. Ensure a safe working environment for students. Training on hardware and software provided.

Responsibilities

Per Shift:

•Assist students with their laser needs, using pay cards they receive from the office.

•Cut pending submitted jobs-if need be

•Check machine for function, identify and troubleshoot any problems, when in doubt, always seek help from staff or an instructor.

•Clean the laser autofocus tip with the medical grade alcohol and a Q-tip and making sure the spring area is also gently cleaned, as this is what controls the auto focus.

•Keep the room and counter area clean and in neat order, pick up

trash, left materials and waste.

•Report any need for additional copies of the handouts

•Empty trash

Monthly:

•Sweep floors

•vacuum out the laser, removing the grate and vacuuming underneath

•Change the sign-up sheet on the door (this sheet is for faculty to sign up, not students)

As Needed:

•Create signs and handouts as requested

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences

Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred but not required.
