• Are NOT required to work during finals, school breaks, or any days where class is not officially in session

Job Summary

The Learning Abroad Finance Assistant has a passion for all things international and has a strong desire to help students, faculty, and staff on campus. The Finance Assistant will work with the Finance and Administrative Specialist on program expense reports, Concur, International Requirement credits, budget sheets, faculty meetings, etc.

• Maintain good standing and full-time status at the University of Utah

• Willing to commit to AT LEAST one academic year of employment (summer employment possible)

• Notify Learning Abroad if otherwise employed by any other office or department at the University of Utah


• Serve as the first point of reference for faculty and staff members with finance-related questions/advising needs

• Receipt management: assist faculty in collecting/maintaining receipts for post-program expense reports

• Act as travel arrangers for University staff/faculty traveling through Learning Abroad


• Complete administrative duties as needed: data entry, file creation, office organization, and restocking materials

• Update Terra Dotta budget sheets and course information

• Creating billing statements and course registration sheets

• Manage SendSuite

Minimum Qualifications


• strong written and verbal communication skills

• ability to create, review, and interpret budgets

• ability to use technology, such as Terra Dotta, Concur, and CIS
