University of Utah Health is looking for a User Experience Designer that can help evangelize and lead the UX efforts. We believe UX is a team sport that needs to be embedded in the thinking and design of all products and processes. We believe that the role of the UX Designer can dramatically impact the visitors experience. We are looking for a team player, one that focuses on insight first and instinct second. We want someone that can instill empathy and understanding for our visitors journey across teams and bridge both user needs and business needs.
• Plan and conduct user research and user testing
• Research, evangelize and teach ux processes and thinking across teams
• Gather and evaluate user and business requirements in collaboration with the team
• Develop wireframes and prototypes and seek continues feedback
• Continually test, experiment and get feedback to improve the digital experience
• Assist with maintaining a living pattern library and style guide
• Lead team in identifying and prioritizing UX challenges
• Compile and share research and lead efforts for continues testing and improvements.
• Work with internal stakeholders and web team to design web applications, forms, websites and other digital experiences
• Understand and outline user journeys and user stories
• Gather and use quantitative and qualitative data working closely with strategists and analysts
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
