Job Summary
The Playdon Research Group is conducting dietary intervention studies that include providing control diets (frozen meals) to study participants. We are now hiring a Student Metabolic Kitchen Worker as an integral part of the study team. Experience in food service such as working in a professional kitchen (e.g., hospital, school, restaurant) and an interest in diet and nutrition is preferable. The successful application should have attention to detail, be able to follow directions and work independently under limited supervision while being part of a research team. They will be able to read, write and understand English, and stand on their feet for up to 8-hours.
This is an hourly position ($15/hour). Hours may vary each week and depend on: (1) the number of study participants requiring meals per week; (2) the availability of the NUIP Foods Lab.
