Job Summary

The Utah Education Network (UETN) is seeking an experienced State E-Rate Coordinator to provide high level E-Rate services for Utah’s state education network, performing high level E-Rate functions as it relates toUETNstatewide E-Rate related filings, to include:UETNState Education Network E-Rate Consortium procurement, application filings, business processes, verification that the procurement process for E-Rate services is in accordance withSLDrules and regulations and Program Integrity Assurance (PIA),USACaudits,USAC/FCCappeals, verification and documentation of orders and accuracy of billing used in requests for reimbursement.

Additionally, this position also assists Utah’s schools, districts and libraries regarding E-Rate rules, form filings, providing general support and training through conference presentations, trainings, workshops, teleconferences, mail lists, websites, and telephone toUETNstakeholders.

Responsibilities

An ideal candidate will be able to document their role in achieving sustained success in the federal E-rate program on behalf of eligible entities. The candidate must be highly skilled in compiling and analyzing technical and statistical data; detail-oriented in order to meet the compliance requirements of federal public education funding programs. The candidate must be able to work with a wide variety of constituents who have diverse skills, experiences, and knowledge bases, particularly regarding E-Rate, instructional technology, and school networking infrastructure. He or she must have the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and be flexible in adjusting work responsibilities.

Other relevant skills include: Producing accurate auditable work under time constraints to ensure pertinent and required information is collected and archived. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relations withUETNstakeholders andUETNemployees. Develops strategies and implements comprehensive plans to ensure the accomplishment ofUETNE-Rate goals and deadlines are met. Strong prioritization, problem-solving, team-working, and multi-tasking skills are valued. The ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively. Commitment to understanding and alignment with the mission and goals ofUETN.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalency and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

At least 4 of the required 5 years of experience with high level E-Rate administrative experience at the local, state, or federal level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferences

The ideal candidate will also possess excellent technical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; basic understanding of school networking and distance learning technologies; and skills in using current computer-based technologies and word processing, database, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing software.
