Job Summary

The Media and Communications Intern will report to U- TTEC Lab director and faculty. Responsibilities include: assisting the lab coordinator in designing all communications, both online and print for Utah School Mental Health Collaborative ( SMHC ) and the U- TTEC Lab.

Responsibilities

The Intern candidate should be interested in skill development in the following areas

- Social media

- Marketing

- Communications

- Computer Animation

- Visual Arts

- Design

Learning Outcomes:

- The Media and Communications Intern will gain a well-rounded introduction to the importance of web marketing and content creation.

- Will understand the process of creating promotional material that can be used on multiple platforms.

- Learn the skills of creating online engagement through social media interaction on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, website, leveraging other posting sites and working with the lab to maximize the visibility and web traffic.

- Create graphic designs that meet the specifications and requirements of communication problems.

- An understanding of basic business practices, including the ability to organize design projects and to work productively as a member of the lab.

- Create a content that will be accessible to audience, teachers and parents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic understanding and competency with Google Drive, Google Suite, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Basic experience or knowledge with Canva or equivalent visual graphic software
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors or other team members in a timely and professional manner
