Job Summary

Responsible for educational technology training with Utah Education Network. The person in this position will work with teachers, faculty and administrators across Utah to support effective technology use in schools, teach online courses and virtual workshops, conduct in person workshops (when pandemic conditions allow), develop original presentations and courses, and expand use of state licensed educational software through other supports. UEN serves a broad and diverse constituency and seeks staff members that reflect and support organizational goals of innovation, public service, equity and integrity. Professional growth and skill development in this position is expected and supported through collaboration with senior team members and experiences like conferences and classes.

This is a Category IIA position: Not required on campus and able to telework during the duration of the University’s COVID -19 response. Employees and/or functions where employees are able to work remotely in order to maintain campus systems, campus operations, clinical operations, and patient care.

Responsibilities

- Work with K-12 and Higher Ed. to develop and implement training.

- Support special projects that promote effective learning and adoption of state software products

- Effectively design and deliver online courses through Canvas LMS .

- Support departmental goals including project planning, implementation and promotion.

- Represent UEN products, resources and professional development at conferences, seminars and meetings as needed.

-Build skills while working with a collaborative team

-Travel throughout Utah (post-pandemic) using state vehicle and occasional out of state travel-Flexible daytime schedule with options for telework

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of technical experience.

Department Specific Requirements:

Experience working with Utah K-12 and Higher Education Institutions in state-wide adopted software. Familiarity with contexts of public education, higher education and the Utah Education Network. Experience using the Canvas Learning Management Software and developing/conducting online courses.

Preferences

Master s degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field preferred and 5+ years experience.
