Job Summary

The Study Recruitment Coordinator provides the Neuromuscular Division with participant recruitment support for multiple research projects with a primary focus on peripheral neuropathy. Looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and proactive person who can effectively communicate with clinicians, investigators, clinic staff, research staff, patients, and the community regarding research study opportunities. Will also assist research staff with development, preparation, and distribution of research promotional materials.


1. Develop a detailed understanding of all protocols

2. Responsible for daily recruitment activities

oReview medical charts/clinic schedules to identify potential participants

oAttend clinics for study recruitment

oConduct inbound/outbound subject screening calls

3. Discuss protocol(s) and entry criteria with faculty, patients, and community

4. Build strong networking relationships with the community, other organizations, and outreach clinics to create a pipeline of participants

5. Promote research opportunities at local health fairs and seminars

6. Prepare and distribute study brochures, flyers, letters, and newsletters

7. Track all recruitment activities and study metrics relative to study goals

8. Maintain the status of all study participants

9. Attend all study team meetings and take minutes

10. Complete necessary trainings including but not limited toHIPAA,EPIC,CITI, andGCP

11. Other varies research support as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalency required.IRBCITICourse in the Protection of Human Research subjects certificate obtained within six months of hire and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Some departments may requireIATADGRtraining within six months.
