Job Summary

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Research Network is seeking an individual to join an established team of Study Coordinators in theOBGYNDepartment. The Study Coordinator team provides support for research projects ranging from internal chart reviews to large, industry and federally funded studies. Work closely with our investigators, research administration, lab manager, clinics and research teams to carry out protocols in many areas of women’s and newborn’s health.

Responsibilities

- Assess study protocols for clarity and subject safety

- Review and understand inclusion/exclusion criteria

- Screen through schedules inEPICfor potential study participants and healthy control participants

- Determine length of visits and coordinate related facility and equipment availability

- Coordinate with study participants, clinics (within and outside the UU), physicians, and other research staff to schedule, create, and complete study visits

- Gather, record and enter data from study participants, charts, and EMRs into study databases

- Maintain source documents, status reports, progress notes, and subject logs in accordance withFDAguidelines,HIPAA, andGCP

- Report and track adverse events

- Document all protocol deviations, reconcile test article accountability at study close out and prepare summary report for department and sponsor

- Obtain and process biospecimens in accordance with protocols and good laboratory practices

- Assist in packaging and shipping of samples in accordance withIATA

- Perform QA as needed

- Clarify concerns and questions with Principal Investigator, laboratory manager, and sponsors

- Attend and participate in Investigator and research staff meetings

- Advise team regarding specific study assignments and timelines

- Will be required to work in a team environment as well as individually with minimal supervision

- Other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalency required.IRBCITICourse in the Protection of Human Research subjects certificate obtained within six months of hire and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Some departments may requireIATADGRtraining within six months.

Preferences

- Previous research experience

- Experience working in women’s health or a clinical environment

- Phlebotomy certification

- PriorCITI,HIPAA,GCPand/orIATAtraining

- Familiarity with UU and/orIHCEMRsystems

- Familiarity with REDCap

- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
