Job Summary

Seeking a bright, motivated student to assist with data collection, data analysis, and preparation of reports for a variety of research studies within the Division. Position will primarily perform varied support functions, including gathering and analyzing data. As a Research Assistant in the Division of Epidemiology, you will gain hands-on research experience and work alongside leading scientists and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

  1. Conducting interviews and focus groups
  2. Entering and coding data in qualitative analysis software, ATLAS .ti
  3. Assists in the preparation of reports and presentation materials
  4. Collaborates on project reports, and presentation materials
  5. May assist with recruiting participants, obtaining consent, and/or contacting participants via phone
  6. May assist with maintaining up-to-date files and records of research data

Additional tasks may be assigned to those with demonstrated ability, such as transcription of audio recordings, and coding of interview data using qualitative coding software.

  • Students who are Pre-Med, working towards a degree in Social & Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency
