Provide one-on-one and small group consultations with U of U patrons seeking statistical software support, as well as regular updates to our online learning tools about these programs.
This position will end on August 13, 2021.
This position is considered Category IIA , not required on campus and has the ability to telework remotely for the duration of the University of Utah’s response to COVID -19. An employee hired into this role will be responsible for providing space, telephone, printing, networking and/or internet capabilities at the telecommute location and agree to the University of Utah campus and Health Academics COVID -19 Telecommuting Form.
Schedule appointments and meet U of U patrons at agreed time.
Create and/or revise online statistics subject guides.
Check statistics listserv regularly to respond to patrons
Able to work with undergraduate students, graduate students, U of U staff, and faculty in providing using different statistical software programs.
Answer questions on statistics and statistical analysis.
Must be a current University of Utah student.
Graduate-level coursework in statistics or equivalent experience. Expertise with a variety of software packages, especially SPSS , SAS , and Stata.
Some teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to providing user-centered support and assistance.
