Job Summary

Performs technical procedures in a research group under minimal supervision by applying standard scientific techniques and analytical principles. Records observations and measurements and reports results.

Responsibilities

Confers with senior research group personnel regarding the procedures and techniques to be followed in conducting research and recommends modifications as needed.

Conducts literature reviews to obtain abstracts and information to be utilized in research.

Makes statistical calculations, analyzes data and prepares reports summarizing results.

This position assists senior laboratory personnel in reviewing clinical studies literature for a systematic review and meta-analysis. Work requires exercising independent judgment and basic theoretical knowledge of epidemiology and public health.

Work is performed in accordance with the supervision of senior research personnel and through periodic conferences with superior.

Minimum Qualifications

One year research experience or equivalency; demonstrated organizational and communication skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. An understanding of research protocols and procedures preferred.
