Job Summary
The coordinator in this position will plan, implement, and monitor the daily operations of the Office of Software Licensing, ensuring program goals and objectives are met in accordance with established criteria, and will act as the initial point of contact for all basic and routine activities relating to software and respond to basic service requests on behalf of the Software Licensing Team. This will include answering licensing questions, providing customer & technical support, maintaining the department website, maintaining the electronic web store, assisting with sales reports, and obtaining software files and license keys from vendors.
The coordinator must be able to work both independently and with a team. Must possess strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize the work objectives and goals for multiple teams, deadlines, processes, and programs. The coordinator must possess analytical, comprehension, and communication skills. General duties include writing and editing instruction materials, organizing electronic files and directories, information gathering and analysis, and assisting other staff.
Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations and coordinate the distribution of information to students and employees of the University of Utah.
· Resolve software related issues and questions from customers, including technical difficulties with the software, via email & phone calls.
· Be familiar with software licensing terms and conditions.
· Assist in making product related decisions.
· Advise staff, students, and faculty regarding program policies, goals, and related technical issues.
· Seek to improve efficiencies related to customer support and daily operations.
· Assist with maintaining the department operation guide, website, and web store.
· Develop & implement program goals and objectives.
· Monitor program quality and research improvement methods.
· Assign, direct, and review work of support staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Preferences
· 8 Years customer service experience.
· 6 Years technical troubleshooting experience.
· Experienced with computer software programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
· Experience with Microsoft Access a plus.
· Ability to work independently, setting own agenda and goals as well as working well in a team environment.
· Ability to communicate (both orally, and in writing) in an effective and appropriate manner.
· Ability to keep calm in emergencies, and to respond professionally in emotionally charged situations.
· Experience with maintaining websites in a content management system such as Omni CMS .
· Knowledge of ITIL standards.
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or technical certifications.
