Job Summary

Provides individual and family/couples therapy to medical students and their significant others; participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by participating in weekly clinical staffings withMSWPclinical team and developing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and crisis intervention consultation when necessary for assigned caseload. While providing evidence based mental health treatment and completing timely and accurate medical records is an essential function, services offered through this program are independent of any insurance involvement. Ideally, selected candidate would have a flexible schedule with some evening and possible weekend office hours.


- Provides individual and family/couples therapy as assigned

- Facilitates or co-facilitates therapy groups as assigned

- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning

- Develops a comprehensive psychosocial assessment

- Provides crisis intervention consultation as needed

- Documents in the medical record according to program requirements

- Submits service activity logs, weekly and monthly schedules, and time sheets to the clinical manager

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited school by the council on Social Work; current licensure to practice as a Certified Social Worker in the State of Utah. Demonstrated human relations and effective verbal and written communication skills; and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, problem solve and resolve conflicts for individuals, couples and groups.


Current Utah Licensed Clinical Social Work (L.C.S.W.*) certificate for clinical practice plus two years of directly related experience is preferred. Pay commensurate with licensure and experience.

Experience working with academic and/or high achieving populations.

Familiarity with health and wellness related topics.

Experience overseeing the activities of social workers, interns and other caseworkers.
