Job Summary

University Marketing and Communications is looking for an intern for the following :

- Create Instagram and Snapchat stories promoting the week’s @TheU newsletter content

- Create Instagram/Snapchat stories promoting highlighted campus events for the upcoming week

- Attend weekly communication staff meetings

- Identify one-two events and/or UMC articles for more in-depth coverage on the University’s central social media channels.

Responsibilities

- Attend weekly communication staff meetings

- Identify one-two events and/or UMC articles for more in-depth coverage on the University’s central social media channels.

Minimum Qualifications

Desired skillset:

- Storytelling skills for social media platforms like Instagram Story, Snapchat, Facebook Live and Twitter

- Short video production

- Photography and photo editing

- Social media writing

- Live video production (planning, interview questions, outline, on-screen broadcasting, innovation in a fluid area of practice)

- Ability to work in a collaborative, professional environmen
