Job Summary

Works specifically with University Marketing & Communications (UMC) on the Digital team to manage a wide array of digital projects. Conceptualizes web project strategies, objectives and creative platforms to support theUMCDigital team. Coordinates the production, delivery and deployment of digital jobs, as well as the ongoing needs of theUMCDigital team.

Responsibilities

1.Leadership in managingUMCDigital projects, objectives and tactics.

2.Works withUMCDigital leadership to determine needs, bandwidth allocations and strategies.

3.Is a member of theUMCDigital team and will attend and run weekly team planning meetings.

4.Acts as aUMCDigital project coordinator to ensure quality control and timely product delivery.

5.Simultaneously manages multiple ongoing projects with varying deadlines as well as numerous working relationships.

6.Collaborates withUMCDigital UI/UX/Web Design team, as well asUMCmarketing creative team to coordinate the creative concept development for each project.

7.Working knowledge of tracking effectiveness of marketing/promotional campaigns through digital data analysis, includingSEO, Google Ads, etc., and then working to improve future campaigns.

8.Supporting and collaborating withUMCDigital team to collect, organize and on occasion implement content for web projects.

9.Develop and deliver live project pitches and presentations to various sized groups, utilizing presentation software including Keynote, PowerPoint, Adobe XD or similar programs.

10.Collaborates with all departments withinUMCto ensure a holistic and cohesive approach is taken to all digital projects.

11.Proofreads and edits various materials as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.

Preferences

-Ten years professional experience in a marketing or advertising agency with proven account management skills is preferred.

-Demonstrated proficiency to organize and manage team workflows successfully also preferred.

-Excellent organizational, human relations and effective communication skills.

-Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, project management (utilizing project management programs), and job costing is strongly preferred.
