Job Summary
The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement ( SARA ) Project Assistant is a vital position within the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education. This position will perform a variety of tasks related to research, internal and external communication (written and oral), database maintenance, reporting and record retention. This position is temporary up to 12 months from the date of hire. This position can support up to 20 hours per work week.
Responsibilities
Research and track licensed occupations and licensing boards on behalf of 18 Utah SARA institutions of higher education (IHEs).
Conduct internet research on licensure requirements and work with IHEs to research and track all licensed occupations and licensing boards in 50 States and US Territories.
Link to statute and licensing rules
Summarize information on licensing requirements including education, experiential learning conditions, state or national exams, background checks, etc.
Research and track national professional licensing entities, consortia, specialty accreditors, compacts, and reciprocity agreements
Facilitate State Portal Entity support of institutional affiliation with NC- SARA .
Track information received from UT- SARA institutions.

Demonstrated college-level written and oral communication skills; proficiency with MS Office Suite, email, and Internet browsing; accurate keyboard skills; demonstrated ability to be highly organized, detail oriented, and self-directed.
