This position is responsible for performing varied support functions, including gathering and analyzing data. The incumbent contributes information or materials for research projects and provides monthly CMS updates. This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and assists with annual CPT updates billing updates and review of medical and billing policies.

  • Assist in operational workflow optimization based on updates from various payers.

  • Researches government and commercial billing and coding guidelines and coordinates with various stakeholders.

  • Identifies potential discrepancies between codes and regulations.

  • Understands and interprets laws and regulations at a federal and state level and is proficient with NCD/LCD requirements.

  • Strategize and assists in operational implementation of billing guidelines and requirements

  • Ability to express information in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Shows detail orientation, a logical approach to resolutions, and ability to resolve difficult or complicated challenges.

  • Takes ownership for the quality and timeliness of work and can achieve result with little oversight.

  • Detail oriented and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree, or the equivalency.

  • Three years of coding, billing, and auditing experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience in organizing and conducting billing education.

  • AAHAM certification.
