A Full-Time Research Associate position is available in the Shcheglovitov Lab in the Department of Neurobiology. The lab studies genetic neurodevelopmental disorders using human stem cells and stem cell-derived neurons and organoids. The goal of our research is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms disrupted in these disorders. The Research Associate will be responsible for performing different molecular biology, cell biology, and imaging experiments with cultured human cells. The successful candidate should have an advanced degree (MS, MD, PhD, or PharmD) and at least 5 years of experience working in a research lab.

U of U Health Academics Faculty and Staff: All employees necessary for the direct on-site support of clinical operations, patient care, and essential research activities if they are healthy without COVID -19 symptoms.
•Maintain cultured cells
•Perform PCR , qRT- PCR , and gel electrophoresis
•Perform Western blot
•Report results to the group
•MS, MD, PhD, or PharmD
•At least 5 years of experience working with cultured cells
•At least 5 years of experience with molecular biology/cell biology/imaging techniques
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds
