Job Summary
We are seeking an expert in the design and implementation of MRI acquisition and reconstruction techniques (e.g., BOLD , ASL , DCE , UTE ) for studying muscle, kidneys, and vessels.
The successful candidate will work as a full-time Research Associate in the Vascular and Physiologic Imaging Research Lab, led by Vivian S Lee, MD, PhD, MBA , and Jeff L Zhang, PhD. This lab is on the forefront of body- and vascular- MRI research and is funded by multiple federal grants, including two newly-awarded NIH R01s. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and scientists from various departments including radiology, geriatrics, vascular surgery, and nephrology. Development of additional grant funding will be strongly encouraged and supported.
Responsibilities
Develop new image acquisition techniques for our ongoing projects.
Identify suitable developed methods for our projects.
Perform MRI image acquisition on our Siemens scanners.
Help interpret MRI data and results.
Write and publish scientific papers.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Physics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or similar.
Experience in MR pulse sequence programming, preferably on Siemens scanners.
At least 3 peer-reviewed journal publications in the field of magnetic resonance imaging.
Experience with small-animal imaging is a plus.
