Gathers, organizes and analyzes data through interviews, literature searches, medical record reviews and related non-lab methods for use in studies, publications and other research related uses. Administers neuropsychological tests to dementia patients. May be responsible for submissions to the Institutional Review Board.
Interviews the patients and the control group participants to obtain answers to a very broad range of questions. Utilizes interviewing techniques designed to reduce the interviewee’s apprehensions and generate the type of information the pre-tested questionnaire is intended to produce. Edits questionnaires after the interviews have been completed by rereading each question and response to make sure that there are no errors or inconsistencies. Collects and compiles data from a variety of sources; enter data into a computer database.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Bachelor’s degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency; one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
Previous training and experience with Alzheimer’s or dementia patients or experience working with seniors.
