Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Assistant Professor

The Division of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center is recruiting for a Research Assistant Professor (research track). Applicants must have a PhD in the biologic sciences and prior experience with animal models (transgenic mice) is desired. A strong publication record is required. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with collaborators in the Department of Biochemistry in our work to better understand cardiac metabolism during heart failure and recovery as well as with faculty within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiovascular Medicine. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to participate in mentoring undergraduate students, medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows as needed.
