The Workshop Assistant provides support to the Workshop Coordinator at Job Summary Family Night events. The Workshop Assistant helps transport Family Night supplies and materials, assists with setup and breakdown, and engages children and families in hands-on learning activities.
Salary is $75.00/workshop and $10 per hour for additional work, such as
training, clerical, etc.
The Workshop Assistant provides support to the Workshop Coordinator at Family Night events. The Workshop Assistant helps transport Family Night supplies and materials, assists with setup and breakdown, and engages children and families in hands-on learning activities. There are approximately 30 Family Night events hosted in the Fall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, and there are approximately 30 Family Night events hosted in the Spring on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. The Family Night events take place at Responsibilities Granite and Salt Lake School District elementary schools and Head Start Preschools along the Wasatch Front. Evenings and weekend hours required per workshop schedule. Paid on a per-workshop basis at $75 per workshop. Evening and weekend hours required as well as participation inKUEDReady To Learn one time and educational events throughout the year as schedule permits. Annual event, conference and staff meeting attendance will be paid on an hourly basis.
An education and/or child development background. Experience presenting workshop, engaging the community, and working with parents and children. Written and oral Spanish and English bilingual language skills preferred.
Preferences: Must be able to lift 50lbs to transport materials and supplies. Evenings hours required per workshop schedule. Paid on a per-workshop basis. Must have reliable transportation for travel. Mileage outside the Wasatch front will be compensated.
