Job Summary

The Department of Population Health Sciences is seeking a motivated, meticulous and professionally mature individual. The selected candidate will assist with two primary projects: 1) an internally funded research project that focuses on family communication about genetic testing of Lynch Syndrome, and 2) an AHA - PCORI funded clinical study about shared decision making among clinicians and patients with atrial fibrillation.

The Department of Population Health Sciences provides methodological expertise and infrastructure to advance capacity for impact-driven research and support clinical professionals in providing better patient and population-oriented care in an increasingly complex health care delivery system. Candidates seeking hands-on clinical research experience and/or plan to apply for medical school or graduate school in related areas are positioned to gain valuable experience with conducting empirical and clinical research under the guidance of experienced researchers.

This position is considered Category I: Mandatory Required on Campus or at Health Care Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature search related to family communication about genetic testing

• Assist with research participant outreach and recruitment (online and in-person)

• Assist with recording participant interviews

• Analyze qualitative data under the guidance of the principal investigator

Minimum Qualifications

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
