Job Summary

Supports administrative operations and coordination of human subjects research studies.

This position is a great opportunity for undergraduate students considering future work in health care or research.

This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at office and clinic if they are healthy and without COVID -19 symptoms.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain supply inventory, including ordering supplemental test articles and returning unused test articles to sponsor.

2. Prepares and maintains regulatory documents.

3. Enters demographic information into a database.

4. Determines visit windows from protocol, schedules subject visits and sends visit reminders.

5. Organizes and prepares area for study related equipment and supplies.

6. Schedules and coordinates pre-study and monitor site visits.

7. Transmits Case Report Form data by fax, express mail, or other means dictated by sponsor.

8. Ensures study visits and procedures do not conflict with existing schedules.

9. May provide basic patient care.

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Seldom: Infectious disease, exposure to animals, oils ( there is air or skin exposure to oils or other cutting fluids )

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Completion of HIPAA Privacy & Security training may be required within two to five days of hire. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
