Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics Analyst will support the ambulatory clinical practices of pediatricUUMGsubspecialists in their usage of iCentra. This support will include analyses of workflows, processes, and data. Support will also include impact analysis. The analyst will oversee the collection, compilation, and input of data. The analyst will also assist in preparing reports and make recommendations accordingly to providers and administrators.

Responsibilities

1.Oversees the collection and organization of data that are entered into databases.

2.Ensures the accuracy of data, analyzes conflicting data, and verifies/collects missing information.

3.Utilizes computer programs/software to analyze data; determines trends and changes in data.

4.Develops and presents recommendations for a course of action based on the analysis of data.

5.Provides documents/reports to administrators and outside agencies as required.

6.Handles special projects and creates special reports as needed.

7.Provides physician coaching for Meaningful Use and iCentra best practices.

8.Administers iCentra user story gathering and communicates findings with stakeholder groups.

9.Manages revenue integrity with University Medical Billing (UMB):

a.Works withUMBto determine if appropriate note types are being utilized by providers.

b.Ensures note templates provide the appropriate information for charge extraction.

c.Works with providers to minimize deviation and ensure they are following appropriate workflows when possible.

10.Acts as a system super user and expert of iCentra; acts as anENDtoENDresource for planning solutions that minimize side effect and maximize impact.

11.Performs testing on order routing; ensures order routing is going to the appropriate group(s) and has the correct information.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Two years experience in collecting, organizing analyzing, and presenting data; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

This position is patient sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.

•Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferably with iCentra

•Two years of experience in a healthcare setting

•Ability to prioritization projects based on urgency and associated deadlines
