The U of U School of Medicine is seeking a work study student to assist with scholarly projects undertaken by Dr. Boyd Richards, Director of Educational Research and Scholarship in the Vice Dean’s Office of Education. These projects involve different types of investigations (both qualitative and quantitative) focused on teaching and learning in the health sciences. Projects often involve collaboration with health sciences faculty and students.
This position qualifies for our textbook loan program
Primary duties will vary according to assigned scholarly projects but may include:
1.Input, manage, analyze, and report project-specific data using Access,SPSS, and/or Excel
2.Coordinate logistics of project events and tracking of project activities
3.Provide administrative support as needed
Preference will be given to those with experience in research and/or students majoring in a research-focused social and behavioral science program.
Special consideration will be given to students who are interested in working over the course of several semesters.
We offer a textbook loan program which provides up to $500 toward the purchase of required textbooks to students who are invited to work for us for a second semester.
