Procurement Surgeon, University of Utah

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine is actively recruiting for a thoracic transplant procurement surgeon. Individuals would join the faculty of the Division at the rank of Instructor within the School of Medicine. Candidates will include those that are board-certified or eligible by the ABTS as well as those that meet criteria for licensure within the state of Utah ( ECFMG certification/ USMLE steps). Responsibilities are dedicated to the procurement of adult and pediatric hearts and lungs, including DCD donors and implementation of NRP , as well as supporting ambulatory ECMO and eCPR services. In addition, the applicant will be expected to participate actively in the teaching of Thoracic Surgery residents.
