Job Summary

Dr. Michael W. Deininger and Dr. Thomas O’Hare at The University of Utah Huntsman Cancer Institute are seeking a post-doctoral scholar to study metabolism in acute myeloid leukemia. Ours is a collaborative laboratory that aims to understand mechanisms of drug resistance in leukemia as well as to discover points of therapeutic intervention. We seek a career-driven individual with a track record of scientific productivity to head an R01 project focused on metabolic regulation by Sirtuin 5 in acute myeloid leukemia. This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at HCI if they are healthy and without COVID -19 symptoms.

Responsibilities

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology, oncology, or similar and one first author publication in a highly-regarded, peer-reviewed journal. Individuals must have strong oral and written English language skills.
