Job Summary

The Division of Pediatric Neurology, University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow (PhD or MD/PhD) for studies on leukodystrophy disease gene pathophysiology and therapeutics discovery in the Bonkowsky lab (http://medicine.utah.edu/pediatrics/labs/bonkowsky/). The experimental model systems include mouse, zebrafish, and human (see papers by Strachan et al., 2017, Human Molecular Genetics; Keefe et al., 2020, eLife). Projects in gene therapy and small molecule development are part of the training.

The lab and setting are an innovative, well- equipped and scientifically stimulating surrounding.

Initial employment contract is for one year (renewable) with standard NIH pay scale.
