Job Summary
A Postdoctoral Associate position is immediately available for Ph.D. or M.D. with expertise in neuroscience research in a laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah. Candidates with prior experience in studying neuron structure and function of mouse retina are specifically encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Currently, two active research areas are ongoing in the lab. One project focuses on the development of retinal circuit. Another project focuses on the neuronal death and protection under retinal diseases. Additional information could be found on http://neuroscience.med.utah.edu/Faculty/Tian.html.
Minimum Qualifications
Ideal candidate should have: 1) Ph.D. in neuroscience, neurobiology or related science; 2) Good knowledge of neurobiology of retina and CNS ; 3) previous training in confocal imaging, immunochemistry, molecular biology and/or electrophysiology; 4) a history of relevant publications; and 5) capable of working independently with strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
