Job Summary
Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute ( CVRTI ) at the University of Utah. The CVRTI is a leading research institute with an interdisciplinary team of 13 independent laboratories studying channel and muscle biology, metabolism, heart failure, and electrophysiology. This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at the CVRTI Facility if they are healthy and without COVID -19 symptoms.
Responsibilities
Qualifications: PhD or MD
Responsibilities: Research specific responsibilities vary on laboratory of interest and range from basic biochemistry of intracardiac proteins to metabolic assays to evaluation of novel heart therapies for heart failure. Common responsibilities include the conduct of responsible bench research, manuscript preparation, and an ability to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

Evidence of independent research potential as indicated by first author publication(s) in impactful journals, and a career orientation towards NIH sponsored laboratory research.
