One funded postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Professor Rena D’Souza at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. The D’Souza laboratory is a well-established research group that studies craniofacial development and genetics. More recently, small-molecule, protein and antibody replacement therapies have been used to correct craniofacial defects in utero. We are broadly interested in translating the mechanism of restoring molecular equilibrium in signaling pathways during tooth and palate development.
The successful candidate should hold a recent Ph.D. in biological sciences or biochemistry, with a thorough knowledge of developmental biology, genetics, molecular biology and cell culture techniques.
Preference will be given to applicants with strong research experience in gene expression analysis and mouse genetics.
