The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Utah is looking to hire three talented and self-motivated Postdoctoral Research Associates to work on multiple funded projects in the Utah Smart Energy Lab.
The positions are benefited and salary commensurate with experience. The initial appointments are for one year, but are renewable for up to three years.
Performing and leading research projects, developing original ideas and solving research problems, preparing manuscripts for publication, attending conferences, interacting with and leading graduate/undergraduate students involved in the projects.
• Holding a PhD in a relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science)
• Strong research experience in at least one of the following fields:
1 Mathematical optimization and stochastic optimal control
2 Power system operation with energy storage and distributed energy resources
3 Microgrid control and hardware-in-the-loop simulation
4 Cyber security of power systems
• Publication in reputable power systems journals
