Job Summary

Applicants are invited to apply for POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS in Retinal Neurobiology/Neuroprotection. We are interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms, which regulate the formation of retinal synaptic circuitry and the death of retinal neurons. Available projects involve electrophysiological, morphological/imaging and genetic approaches to investigate the formation and regulation of neuronal synaptic circuitry and the death of retinal neurons using mouse models.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful applicants should be highly self-motivated and have a Ph.D. with a solid background in neuroscience. Experience in areas of mouse genetics/molecular biology, neuronal development, electrophysiology, imaging, and disease models of mice is a plus. Research will be conducted in a dynamic, well-equipped lab supported by a facility with excellent core equipment.
