Job Summary

The University of Utah has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow interested in working in the field of cancer cell biology in a thriving and diverse laboratory environment. The Roh-Johnson laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry is interested in fundamental aspects of cancer cell migration and proliferation, and uses a combination of cell culture and animal models (zebrafish and mouse) to understand how the microenvironment dictates cancer cell behavior. Current projects include macrophage-dependent roles in cancer, and the in vivo regulation and evolution of cell-matrix interactions. This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at the work site if they are healthy and without COVID -19 symptoms.

Candidates should have recently received a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree or be close to obtaining their doctoral degree. Experience in cell biology and imaging is preferred, but not required. However, successful candidates are expected to develop an independent research project and have a track record of success in the laboratory.
