Job Summary

The Burbidge Athletics Academic Center is seeking individuals who are available to tutor student-athletes specific to courses currently offered in your department. Hours are flexible and tutor sessions are offered during regular working hours and into the early evening. In addition, and as a result of the COVID pandemic, we are offering tutor sessions both in-person (where safe) and online via the ZOOM platform. Undergraduate peer tutors are paid $10/hour and graduate tutors start at $12/hour. We also offer CRLA certification training (level 1, level 2, & level 3) for those interested.


Reviewing class material, discussing the text, preparing for tests, formulating ideas for papers, and working on solutions to help improve academic skills and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

This position is available to both undergraduate and graduate students. All students hired must have high grades in classes in which tutoring will take place. Individuals must be organized and efficient as all session reports and time sheets must be submitted to the Athletic Department prior to compensation. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
