New Position to Begin FY 2022
The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a pediatric pulmonary physician. The pediatric pulmonologist will provide outpatient clinical pulmonary services, and assist with inpatient pulmonary consultative services and shared call with other members of the division. Depending on experience, there may be opportunities for leadership responsibilities. In addition to clinical service, the pediatric pulmonologist will participate in education and scholarly activity, with opportunities in quality improvement, and advocacy as well.
The Division consists of six Pulmonologists and three advanced care practitioners. The division has an AASM accredited sleep center, a multidisciplinary sleep clinic, a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation accredited center, a fully functional pulmonary function lab, a multidisciplinary aerodigestive program and a multidisciplinary technology dependent patient program. The division provides comprehensive clinical services in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, multidisciplinary management of airway disorders and neuromuscular disorders. Academic affiliation with the University of Utah School of Medicine provides for teaching opportunities for pediatric fellows, residents and medical students on a regular basis.
Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonology. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
