The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a bilingual Pediatric Gastroenterologist with experience functioning at the attending level in an Academic setting, and advanced training in clinical research at the Master’s degree or Ph.D. level. The Pediatric Gastroenterologist will provide outpatient and inpatient care, with a primary focus in transplant hepatology and general pediatric gastroenterology, and participate in clinical outreach activities at our pediatric gastroenterology satellite clinics. The Liver Transplantation Program performed 20 pediatric transplants in 2017, offers living related donor transplantation, and cares for >200 pediatric transplant recipients. Although the primary focus of this position is clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including education, investigation, administration as well as advocacy.

Qualified applicants must have an M.D. or D. O. degree, be Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, and must have specialized training and experience in the following areas:

• A minimum of one year of advanced training in pediatric transplant hepatology

• Certification in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology, or eligible for the certifying examination

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Clinical Research (clinical investigation)

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
