Professional Education serves of 2500 students a year with more than 39 programs.

Position Overview:

The Coordinator, Partnerships works collaboratively with department staff and University departments to plan and implement activities of a program within a department, ensuring goals and objectives are in accordance with established criteria. They are involved in the development and managing of both internal and external partnerships to enhance course offerings and ensure set goals and objectives are achieved. They support the University of Utah’s University Connected Learning’s goals and mission including creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all peoples and representative of the communities we serve.

This position is an integral member of the program and student services team in Professional Education. The Coordinator, Partnerships will work collaboratively with colleagues who oversee student services, program development, and program improvement. The Coordinator, Partnerships will also work across teams with systems administrators, operations, and many other departments to advance a comprehensive and successful approach to program implementation. The Coordinator, Partnerships reports directly to the Director of Professional Education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business and community partnerships through collaboration with university departments, leaders and community and business partners
  • Manage relationships, affiliation agreements, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), licensee agreements and communication with partners.
  • Develop system and procedures for collecting and sharing data necessary for project evaluation and continuous improvement process
  • Participate/facilitate various in-person and virtual meeting throughout the Greater Salt Lake Valley
  • Work with our marketing department to create advertisements, articles, brochures and other marketing material
  • Collaborate with the Professional Education team to ensure compliance, achievement of goal/objectives of partnership agreement
  • Monitors program/partnership outcomes
  • Implements program goals and objectives
  • Monitors effectiveness and researches improvement methods
  • Advises staff, students, and others regarding program policies, goals and technical issues
  • Prepares reports on partnership status and progress of programs

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

  • Relationship management experience

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or another related field
