Opportunity in Echocardiography Leadership and Clinical Cardiology: University of Utah

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah, is looking for an academic general clinical cardiologist with level 3 training in Adult Echocardiography to lead our rapidly expanding echocardiography laboratory. Interest in clinical or translational echo research is preferred.

Our newly renovated adult echocardiography laboratory performs over 25,000 adult echocardiographic studies annually at University Hospital, seven University practice sites, and multiple outreach locations throughout the intermountain west. We have state-of-the-art clinical programs in general cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure/transplant, structural heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, cardiac surgery and multi-modality cardiac imaging. Our state-of-the art echocardiography laboratory offers all modalities (transesophageal, stress, intracardiac, point of care) and has advanced post processing capabilities.

We are looking for early to mid-career candidates interested in leadership opportunities in our large echo imaging center and who are also interesting in participating in inpatient and outpatient cardiology services as a member of our vibrant general cardiology section. The position can also include participation in other clinical programs at the University of Utah (advanced imaging, cardio-oncology, pulmonary hypertension, etc) according to candidate background and interest. Candidates must be Cardiology Board eligible and Adult Echocardiography Board eligible.
