University of Utah Health Office Support Coordinator - Refugee Services Program in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

This position is responsible for providing program development support and implementation of the Refugee Services Program at the Redwood Health Center serving New Americans. This support is delivered through equitable patient pathways and collaboration with community key stakeholders and University Health partners. This position will work directly with the Refugee Services Program Coordinator.This position is not responsible for providing direct patient care.


  • Coordinates the daily operations of the office, including payroll and the ordering of supplies.

  • Handles confidential information such as files, records, and correspondence (composing of letters and memos).

  • Coordinates meetings and appointments.

  • Acts as a liaison between the department and other offices.

  • Prepares special reports as needed.

  • Reviews and reconciles department financial statements.

  • Assists with yearly budget preparation.

  • Provides support for department administration.

  • Acts as a resource regarding organizational policies and procedures.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills both in management and group decision-making.

  • Organizational, written and oral communications skills.

  • Ability to keep and maintain all confidential records pertaining to departmental administration and operation.


Qualifications Required

  • Two years of experience coordinating a large and complex office environment, or equivalency.

  • Previous experience with and working knowledge of budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and personnel regulations.

  • A commitment to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications (Preferred)


  • Bachelor's degree in Management, or equivalent field

experience in healthcare, refugee health, case management, community outreach, operation, or a related field
