The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an opening for an entry-level office assistant. We are looking for a reliable and dependable individual to assist with the digitization of paper medical records and pull patient record requests as needed.
•Organizes and prepares patient documents for entry into the electronic health record (EPIC)
•Scans each document into the computer, according to date and procedure performed
•Follows recommended document naming convention standards
•Imports scanned documents into the patient’s electronic health record
•Performs quality checks to confirm accuracy of import process
•Destroys scanned paper documents according to organizational policies and procedures
•Recover records from the online database to forward to those requesting records
•Speak with patients and clinics directly to complete tasks and answer questions
•Maintains high productivity and stays on task
•Collaborates with co-workers to fulfill workload duties as needed within the department
•Additional duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
